- Freedom of Expression and Linguistic Rights, We collaborate with International PEN in support of writers who are unjustly persecuted for the non-violent expression of their opinions and for the use of their native languages.
- Publications. We collaborate with publishing houses (Mexico and Argentina) which publish the works of writers who would otherwise not be published because of cultural, political, or other forms of repression.
- Theatre Arts. We support theatre programs (Chicago and Honduras) that employ the theatre arts for community building and dramatic literature for literacy education.

We believe that legal and economic literacy are essential components of literacy itself and necessary for the proper exercise of citizenship in our contemporary world.
Our board of directors is a working board. 100% of monies contributed to CNJP is used in support of our mission and programming.
